Bigger question is: how will you let the disengaged, nonvoter know the hashtag? How will we 'drive' them there? How do we make the care?
correction: how do we make THEM care?
danged fingers have a mind of their own...
Carla: Only thing we can do is spread the word. As for making them care: That's the job of the candidates.
you're behind the times dude|
the discussion that happened on twitter a couple weeks ago led to consensus for #abvote
James: I've seen at least a half dozen hashtags in use. Whatever consensus was reched, there are hundreds of twitter users and candidates who seem to have not gotten the memo.
Hopefully, this helps.
I agree with you Carla. So I am putting a social experiment to the test. I just published a blog on community engagement including voting. I believe in changing the world, one person at a time. I am hoping my blog spreads, engagement spreads, and community activism spreads, as all will lead to more voters and hopefully informed voters. Check it out at eyeonCalgary.wordpress.com
#ABVote gets #MyVote.
@Carla add #yyc or #yeg (or other hyper local community tags) to the tweet. Albertans on twitter will pick it. #FreeBeer helps as well...
